WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE TREATMENT?

BEFORE THE TREATMENT

During the free consultation, we carry out a comprehensive condition assessment, and then -taking into account your needs and problems- our experienced aesthetic consultants will propose the right solution for you, as well as answer all your questions in detail. After the short, 10-15 minute local anesthesia process, our plastic surgeon performs the procedure as previously discussed.

MISCONCEPTIONS

Contrary to misconceptions, the treatment does not paralyze your muscles, we eliminate only the transmission of impulses, and the materials used do not have any harmful effects on the muscles and nerves.
"will my face freeze?" - When applied in the right amount, with small needle pricks, the patient's face does not freeze, and their facial movements do not cease, but at the same time, we can smooth out deepened frown lines and crow's feet.
"B0T0X is a poison" - Botulinum toxin is a protein-type substance produced by an anaerobic bacterium. In very small doses, it is an extremely effective tool in the fight against wrinkles, and in the right place and dose, it also functions excellently as a medicine.
Way before the 2000s , B0T0X has been approved as a medicine to treat a variety of problems, including chronic migraines, involuntary muscle contractions, neck stiffness, eye problems, and excessive sweating.

HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE?

The treatment is performed on an outpatient basis, is completely painless, and takes only 10-15 minutes.

HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT EFFECT LAST?

The results of the B0T0X treatment become visible quickly, after only 2-5 days, and the final effect is reached after 7-14 days, which - depending on the patient's characteristics - lasts 3-6 months. After that, the original state is restored, so it is worth repeating the treatment.
The absorption of the substance is influenced by the individual biological reaction of their body and lifestyle.
Frequent use of saunas, solariums, or steam (e.g. during cosmetic treatment), for example, or consumption of energy drinks accelerates the absorption of the substance, thereby reducing the duration of its effect.
Regular exercise, 6-7 hours of sleep a day, a balanced diet, and plenty of fluids will help maintain the last of the treatment.

AFTER TREATMENT

Slight redness, swelling, burning sensation, and minor hemorrhages that may occur after the treatment, we recommend using an ice pack wrapped in sterile gauze or a black nightshade cream, which you can buy at any pharmacy.
The use of make-up and lipstick is allowed from the second day after the treatment, but you must avoid sunbathing, as well as the use of saunas and solariums, for another week.
We also recommend that you rest your skin for three weeks after the treatment and avoid various cosmetic treatments.

CORRECTION

If you still notice any asymmetry or problems two weeks after the procedure, we welcome you back to our clinic, where we will correct any deviations by administering a small extra amount. The price of the correction will be billed by our current price list.

WHAT MATERIALS DO WE WORK WITH?

At our clinic, we use Dysport to smooth out wrinkles, which is produced by fermentation of the type A bacterium Clostridium Botulinum. Dysport is a modern cosmetic product that is widely and successfully used in the fields of medicine and aesthetic cosmetology.

Information and warnings before using Dysport

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

If you are being treated for moderate/severe vertical wrinkles between the eyebrows:

Common: headache, application site reactions (including pain, bruising, itching, sensation disorders, redness, and rash).

The following may occur: eye fatigue, eyelid drooping, eyelid edema, increased lacrimation, dry eyes, muscle twitching, facial nerve paralysis, muscle weakness at the injection site, which often leads to eyelid drooping and eye fatigue, rarely facial muscle paralysis and visual disturbances.

Uncommon: blurred vision, double vision, visual disturbances, hypersensitivity, dizziness, skin rashes, itching.

Rare: eye movement disorders, urticaria.

Most of the above side effects are mild and temporary. If they occur, they usually appear a few days after the injection and usually disappear within 2-4 weeks.

If any side effects occur, inform your doctor or pharmacist. This also applies to any possible side effects not listed below.

Inform your doctor:

if there is a change or worsening of the symptoms
if you are allergic to any of the ingredients of Dysport powder for solution for injection
if skin rashes or flu-like symptoms have occurred after a previous injection of the Clostridium botulinum toxin-haemagglutinin complex
if you have a blood clotting disorder, or if there is an infection or inflammation at the site of the planned injection, as in such cases Dysport powder for solution for injection can only be used in the most necessary cases
if you have neuromuscular, so-called impairment of neuromuscular impulse transmission (e.g. myasthenia gravis), or difficulty in swallowing or breathing. In such cases, Dysport powder for solution for injection should only be used with extreme caution and under very careful medical supervision.

Consult your doctor immediately if you experience problems with swallowing, speaking, or breathing.

Antibody formation against Clostridium botulinum toxin A has rarely been observed in patients treated with Dysport powder for solution for injection, which is assumed to play a role in the insufficient therapeutic response and may necessitate an increase in the dose.

Dysport 300 E powder for solution for injection contains a small amount of albumin, which is extracted from human blood. The risk of viral infection cannot be completely excluded when human blood or substances extracted from it are used as medicine.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant/nursing, or if there is a possibility of pregnancy or you want to have a child, talk to your doctor before using the medicine.

Dysport powder for solution for injection should not be used during pregnancy unless necessary. Dysport powder for solution for injection is also not recommended during breastfeeding.

The effects of the preparation on the abilities required for driving and operating machines:

Due to the areas of application of the preparation, it may cause side effects that adversely affect the abilities required for driving and operating machinery, therefore in each case, the treating physician will determine how long it will be before it is safe to participate in traffic, or can handle accident-prone machines.

Get urgent medical help if:

You develop difficulty breathing with or without swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and/or throat, reddening of the skin, and itchy, raised rashes (hives). This may mean that you have developed an allergic reaction to Dysport powder for solution for injection.
