What is Thighplasty?
Our thighs, like other parts of the body, lose their firmness over time. Thighplasty is a surgical intervention during which the plastic surgeon removes sagging skin and excess fat tissue, so you can regain the flexibility and former shape of your thighs.
Fatty tissue that has accumulated on the thighs can be removed by liposuction without surgery if the skin tone is appropriate and within the age of 40. Over the age of 40 as a result of weight fluctuations and large amounts of weight loss, the elasticity of the skin decreases, the connective tissue under the skin weakens and the skin on the inner surface of the thighs stretches. The tightness of the sagging inner thigh can only be restored with thigh plastic surgery.
What happens during inner thigh plastic surgery?
During thigh plastic surgery, the plastic surgeon removes the excess skin together with the fatty tissue. In order to keep the scars completely hidden, the plastic surgeon makes an incision along the side of the pubic mound, in the bikini line and in the thigh bend. With this incision, it can be ensured that the resulting scar is not widened, is thick and remains hidden within the bikini line. If only liposuction is required, the plastic surgeon removes the excess fat through thin tubes with a diameter of 4-6 mm, using vacuum suction through hidden incisions of 1 cm.
Liposuction from the thigh is performed under anesthesia and lasts 1.5-2 hours. The average duration of the thigh plastic procedure is 2-3 hours, after which the flabby inner thighs are free!
