WHAT IS A FRACTIONAL LASER?

HOW DOES THE FRACTIONAL LASER TREATMENT WORK?

The intervention is performed with local anesthetics, not general anesthesia. It is more likely to feel discomfort and possibly minimal pain. A small pinprick-like, burning, tingling sensation may occour during or after the treatment.

Laser treatment of the face can also be a reason for excluding some internal medicine pathologies, bleeding, or autoimmune disease, as well as if the patient's skin is prone to scarring. Laser treatment is not recommended even when taking certain medications and antibiotics.
BEFORE CO2 LASER TREATMENT
Before fractional CO2 laser treatment the specialist first cleans the skin surface, then sets the necessary parameters of the CO2 laser based on the pre-discussed plan - how much energy, what pixel parameters are needed for the treatment, how deep the laser must penetrate.
The treated skin surface is cleaned and numbed with a local anesthetic. After skin disinfection, the intervention takes about 30-45 minutes, depending on the treated area. You can leave our clinic by applying a thermal water spray and disinfectant and/or sunscreen after resting with a cooling pack for 5 minutes.
MISCONCEPTIONS
"Laser treatment only results in a short, temporary improvement."
It is not true, as the laser treatment stimulates the natural processes of collagen production and results in the regeneration of the skin from the inside, the transformation of the skin structure takes 3-6 months after the treatment and has long lasting effetcs.

The fractional laser procedure lasts 40-60 minutes, depending on the treated surface.
HOW LONG DOES THE EFFECT OF LASER FACIAL TREATMENT LAST?
The result of laser facial rejuvenation is visible after the appearance of a new layer of the skin surface, already 2 weeks after the treatment, and the skin's tightness is noticeable almost immediately, it becomes soft, velvety and clearly tight. AFTER LASER FACIAL TREATMENT
The recovery - that is, since we are not talking about surgery, that is why we call it recovery time - is relatively quick. Peeling affects the upper layer of the skin, so swelling, redness, warmth and itching may occur for approximately 3-4 days, which can be easily alleviated with ice.
6-10 days after the laser facial treatment, the skin begins to peel off, and then a new layer of skin is formed, similar to when we burn and peel off in the sun. The new skin is pink and very sensitive at first, but this gradually fades. Since it is very sensitive, it is important to regularly use the appropriate skin care product recommended by the dermatologist after the CO2 laser treatment!
