Laser Facial Treatment
Introduction
PRP treatment—commonly known as “Dracula therapy”—is a regenerative procedure based on autologous blood plasma. During the treatment, plasma rich in growth factors, prepared from the patient’s own blood, is reintroduced into the skin.
These growth factors play a role in natural tissue regeneration processes.
The aim of the treatment is to support the skin’s regenerative processes and promote a gradual improvement in skin quality.
PRP treatment is based on the use of the patient’s own biological material, so no foreign substance is introduced into the body.
At the Dr. Goodwin Medical Aesthetic Centre, PRP treatment can be used as a standalone procedure or as part of a combined protocol (FRACULA—fractional CO2 laser + PRP).

PRP treatment (Platelet Rich Plasma), commonly known as “Dracula therapy”, is a regenerative procedure based on autologous blood plasma.
During the treatment, a blood sample is taken from the patient by venous blood draw, from which plasma rich in growth factors is prepared using a special centrifugation process.
PRP is a platelet concentrate that contains biologically active proteins and growth factors involved in natural tissue regeneration processes.
During the treatment, the prepared plasma is reintroduced into the skin using a microneedling technique or another method appropriate for the specific treatment protocol.
Its aim is to support the skin’s regenerative processes and promote a gradual improvement in skin quality.
The treatment can be applied to the face, neck, décolletage, backs of the hands and, in certain cases, to the scalp as well.
PRP treatment can be used as a standalone procedure or as part of a combined protocol (e.g. with fractional CO2 laser treatment—FRACULA).

PRP treatment (Dracula therapy) may be a suitable choice for those who would like to support the skin’s regenerative processes naturally, using their own blood plasma.
The treatment may be especially worth considering if the skin tone has become uneven, the skin looks duller, or skin elasticity has started to decrease.
PRP treatment is often used in cases where the goal is to improve skin quality and support natural regenerative processes.
The treatment can be used as a standalone procedure or as part of a combined protocol (e.g. with fractional CO2 laser treatment).
With the appropriate indication, the treatment can also be applied to the scalp.
The possibility of treatment is always determined during an individual consultation.
Who is it not recommended for?
Although PRP treatment is a natural procedure based on the patient’s own blood plasma, it is not recommended in certain conditions, or postponing the treatment may be justified.
Before the treatment
Before starting PRP (Dracula) treatment, a personal consultation is always carried out. During this, the specialist explains the course of the treatment, the expected skin reactions and the recommended aftercare.
The aim of the consultation is to ensure that the patient receives accurate information about the procedure and can make a treatment decision with all necessary information available.
The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia. Mild discomfort or the sensation of tiny needle pricks may occur during the treatment, and their intensity may vary from person to person.
Before PRP treatment, it is recommended to:
Proper preparation helps ensure that the treatment is performed under safe conditions.

PRP treatment consists of several consecutive steps. The full process usually takes about 30 minutes.
At the beginning of the treatment, a small amount of venous blood is taken from the patient, similarly to a laboratory test.
The collected blood is processed in a special closed-system device, during which the components of the blood are separated. As a result, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) can be obtained.
The prepared plasma is reintroduced into the skin surface to be treated using tiny needle punctures or another technique appropriate for the treatment protocol. The treatment can be applied to the face, neck, décolletage, eye area, backs of the hands and, with the appropriate indication, the scalp as well.
After the procedure, mild redness, sensitivity or tiny puncture marks may appear on the skin, usually decreasing within a short time.
To achieve the desired result, the treatment is often applied as a course. The number and interval of treatments are always determined based on individual assessment.
After the treatment
After PRP treatment, the skin may activate natural regeneration processes. Changes develop gradually over the following weeks and months.
Immediately after the procedure, temporary redness, mild swelling or tiny puncture marks may appear in the treated area. These reactions usually decrease within a short time.
Most patients can return to their everyday activities shortly after the treatment, although individual reactions may vary.
The exact aftercare recommendations are always explained by the specialist performing the treatment.
PRP treatment supports the skin’s natural regenerative processes, so changes develop gradually.

Frequently asked questions
The entire process usually takes about 30 minutes, including blood collection, plasma preparation, and the treatment itself.
PRP treatment supports the skin’s natural regeneration processes, so changes develop gradually. Improvement in skin condition is usually noticeable within a few weeks, while regenerative processes may continue over the following months.
The treatment is often applied as a course. The number and frequency of treatments are determined based on individual assessment, but several sessions are usually recommended at intervals of a few weeks.
The treatment uses your own blood plasma. After the procedure, temporary redness, mild swelling, or small injection marks may appear in the treated area, which usually decrease within a short time.
Most patients can return to their everyday activities shortly after the treatment, however individual reactions may vary.
