The procedure is not recommended if:

- you have a blood clotting problem, an untreated chronic disease or an infection,
- you are pregnant or breastfeeding,
- you are significantly overweight and still planning to lose weight,
- you have unrealistic expectations about the result of the surgery.

An arm lift is always preceded by a personal consultation, where our plastic surgeon examines the condition of your arms and discusses your expectations and the possible results in detail.
During the consultation, we explain the course of the procedure, the location of the surgical scars, and what aftercare and recovery time you can expect.
Before surgery, it is important to:
- avoid smoking and alcohol consumption,
- avoid medications or dietary supplements that have a blood-thinning effect,
- inform your doctor about all previous illnesses and any medications you take.

How an arm lift is performed
Arm lift surgery is performed under general anaesthesia, so the procedure is completely painless for you. The surgeon makes a fine incision on the inner side of the upper arm, through which the excess skin and fatty tissue are removed. The skin is then repositioned more tightly, giving your arm a natural, harmonious shape.
The incisions are located on the inner side of the arm, so the scars remain discreet and hidden.
After the procedure, you will need to wear compression garments for a while, which help the skin adhere properly and support faster healing.

After an arm lift
After an arm lift, you will need a few days of rest so your body can recover. The surgical area must not come into contact with water for one week, and for complete healing you will need to wear special compression garments, which the clinic provides for you.
In the first weeks, avoid strenuous physical activity, lifting your arms and sudden movements. After suture removal, you can gradually return to your usual lifestyle.
The scars are initially pale pink and then fade over time. Follow-up examinations will also be needed during healing, and these will be determined by your plastic surgeon.
With proper aftercare and attention, an arm lift provides a long-lasting, visible result, allowing you to wear your favourite clothes with confidence again.

Fájdalmas a karplasztika műtét?
Nem. A beavatkozást altatásban végezzük, így a műtét alatt semmilyen fájdalmat nem érzel. A gyógyulási időszakban enyhe feszítő érzés előfordulhat, amit fájdalomcsillapítóval jól lehet kezelni.
Mennyi idő a felépülés?
A teljes regeneráció általában 4–6 hét, de a mindennapi, könnyű tevékenységekhez már néhány nap után visszatérhetsz. A sportolás és a nehezebb fizikai munka fokozatosan, az orvosod által meghatározott időben kezdhető újra.
Maradnak hegek a karplasztika után?
Igen, de a metszések a kar belső oldalán helyezkednek el, ezért diszkréten rejtve maradnak, és idővel elhalványodnak. A seb megfelelő ápolásával a heg szinte észrevehetetlenné válik.
Mikor látható az eredmény?
A kar formája már a varratszedést követően jól látható, de a végleges eredmény néhány hónap múlva alakul ki, amikor a szövetek teljesen regenerálódnak.
