COG or MONO – what's the difference?

Not all threads serve the same purpose. One is primarily designed to lift and support the facial tissues, while the other mainly supports skin firmness and quality.

COG threads – when lifting is the goal COG threads have small barbs that anchor into the tissues, so they are primarily used to lift the face and create more defined contours.
MONO threads – when skin quality is the goal MONO threads are not primarily designed to lift. Instead, they support firmer, denser-looking skin and help stimulate collagen production.
Simply put: COG threads primarily lift, while MONO threads primarily improve firmness and skin quality. If both are needed, the two techniques can be combined.
